Your team's email address

The address your replies come from, and where customers' replies come back to.

Written by OngoingAIUpdated

Your workspace has its own email address, like yourteam@ongoingmail.com. Every email reply your team sends comes from it, and customers' replies come back to it, into the same conversation.

Your team's email address on the inbox's empty screen

Find it

Open the inbox with no conversation selected. Your team's email address is there, with a button to copy it. It's also in Settings → Email.

It only takes replies

The address is on every email you send, so anyone can see it. That's why it only takes replies to your emails: a new email sent straight to it is returned to the sender, asking them to use the contact address on your website. To receive new email, forward your support address to your private forwarding address.

Change it

Admins can click the pencil next to the address (or Change in Settings → Email) to choose a new one. New emails come from the new address. Replies to emails you've already sent still reach you, and your forwarding address keeps working.

How your replies look

  • They come from Your name from Your workspace, at your team's address.
  • They stay in the customer's existing thread in Gmail, Apple Mail and other mail apps, and the customer's answers come back into the same conversation in OngoingAI.
  • They're signed and authenticated (SPF, DKIM and DMARC), so they land in inboxes rather than spam.

Your own address

Want customers to keep writing to support@yourcompany.com? Forward it to your forwarding address.
