Welcome to OngoingAI

What OngoingAI does, and how the inbox, messenger and help center fit together.

Written by OngoingAIUpdated

OngoingAI is where your team talks to customers. Visitors chat with you from your website, customers email you, and both land in one shared inbox, so nothing gets lost between tools. A help center sits alongside it, so customers can find answers on their own first.

The pieces

  • Inbox: every conversation, chat or email, in one place. Assign, snooze and close them, and leave internal notes for your team.
  • Messenger: the chat bubble on your website. Visitors start a conversation, get replies live, and pick it back up by email if they leave.
  • Email: your team gets its own address. Replies go out from it, and answers to those come back into the same conversation.
  • Help center: articles organized into collections, on your own website and inside the messenger.
  • Tickets and tasks: boards for work that takes longer than a chat, linked to the conversations they came from.
  • AI agents: give an AI agent a key with exactly the access it needs. Everything it does is attributed to it.

How a conversation flows

  1. A visitor opens the messenger on your site and asks a question.
  2. It appears in your inbox right away, with a sound if you have them on.
  3. You reply, and they see it instantly, with a typing indicator while you write.
  4. If they've left, your reply is emailed to them after about ten minutes. When they answer that email, it lands back in the same conversation.
